Thanks!! ___________________________ However, the main reason for so many trips is that we bought a house in Centennial Hills in Northwest Vegas. Here are a bunch of observations and highlights of the trips. HOUSE We have always talked about doing the “snowbird” thing once we retire (which won’t be for many many many years!!) and Vegas was at the top of the list. The thought of spending a few months a year in the sunny dry and warm climate that Vegas offers was perfect so when we got serious about it I emailed Rhonda (the real estate agent from the OpenVegas board) and I can’t say enough positives about her. The first two trips of the year we spent hours with her as she drove us around the various neighbourhoods of Las Vegas and she explained the pros and cons of each and really got to know what we wanted. On one day alone, she spent six hours with us. We narrowed the search down to Centennial Hills which is a growing part of town about 20 minutes from the strip. Lots of shopping close by and nice surroundings, but not the older established areas that don’t really fit our style. We are hoping this area will build out nicely and become the newer established area with a good mix of people. We looked at over 20 houses and all but one was a bank owned empty house which is really the sad part of the process. So many people have walked away or lost their homes. Rhonda was great to work with (unlike the seller’s real estate agent) and we bought a nice newly renovated three bedroom, three bathroom house on a bigger lot near Durango and Hwy 95. She works hard and is very dedicated to her profession. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a place in Vegas. Thank you very much Rhonda. The next couple of trips were spent at the house furnishing it and getting comfortable with driving in and around town. While traffic can be bad, it is not even close to what we deal with here where I live and I figured out that everything is more or less 20 minutes from the strip. Walmart, RC Willey and craigslist filled up our house and at long last it is a home. On our last trip our family stayed overnight and it was great. I look forward to spending a lot more time over there in the future. |

Date: 9-15-09 11:53 am Thank you again , I appreciate that very much. As I said before you guys were great to work with. While I'm on the subject ,I am out of town right now but I would like to say to anyone considering using my services that I welcome all new work and would love to work with anyone but also I need people to be a little patient too. I have to focus most of my time on the work at hand just like I would focus my time on when it is your turn. I can still do the research and emails for you but if I have people already in town that I need to work with , the research could be slower than I want but I have no choice and Im only one person. If I say I will get back to you with some listings, I promise I will not forget about you . I will also add that if someone tells me what they are looking for (example) a 2000 sq ft home with a pool and 3 car garage for a 100,000 in Summerlin, I know its not possible so part of my education process is I will put a 100,000 in my search field and put Summerlin in there and I will send you what pops up. If the houses I send doesn't have 3 car garages and a pool , its my way of teaching you that your expectations might be off a little and this is what you can really get for that price. So its not that I'm not listening to you , its I cant find what you would like. I'm good at my job but I cant make magic happen lol. This has been a very busy summer for me but believe me I love it and I'm not complaining :1:. Thank you to all of you who put these post on here .
