Your house over 2000 sq ft? if the price includes removal of the old unit and includes installation and new plumbing of a new coil a bit high, probably $ 2000.00 Not actually looking at all the work involved, this is only rough guesstament. I found Las Vegas trades are all over the map, especially when it comes to plumbing and AC work. Rule of thumb get at least three estimates. At least one from a major hardware or department store, Home Depot and Sears are two good examples. They typically are 20 % high compared the next closet quote. This should give you a good base line. |

Date: 1-26-10 2:39 am Sounds high to me too. I'm guessing that about $4000 worth of equipment will be needed if everything inside and out (except duct work) is replaced. If it's just the outside condenser unit, maybe just $2500. By they way, it's 13 "seer" not 13 "sheer". |

Date: 1-27-10 6:57 pm I agree with the posts above. Check around. Why not go for a 16 seer and get the 30% Federal tax credit up $1500.00? You will save on energy costs also. |
